Grand statues in Luxor Temple
There were originally 6 statues in front of the Pylons. And guess of who? Ramses 2 again. Today one 3 of them remain, two seated and one standing.
Similar to the case with the Ramses statues, one of the obelisks was given by the 19th century ruler of Egypt to France. Furtunately, the largest of the two still remains. It is 25 metres tall, 2.2 metres more than its "French" twin.
