A lone Roman altar now stands between the columns of the Hypostyle hall. The temple is more remarkable than it might seem. It is dedicated to Emperer Constatinue, before his conversion to Christianity. And there is no person who has played a more decisive role in the dispersion of Christianity in Europe.
